Storing your logs
- Keep them off the ground
- Cover the top but keep the sides as open as you can to allow for wind ventilation
- Split the wood which increases drying surface areas
- Stack the logs – each layer in the same direction – ‘Jenga Style’
- Leave a space all around the stack- not just directly against a wall
- Bring the next days logs in the house the day before to allow for additional drying time
